BMW I3 I3 RANGE EXTENDER 2014

With just 28,000 miles on the clock and with three services at BMW, this has to be one of the most well looked after i3s out there! If you've never driven a BMW i3 be prepared for the 'game changing' driving experience!

The BMW i3 is powered by an electric motor which offers 100 miles of electric range and the onboard petrol generator provides a further 100 miles so you never run out of charge and can drive as far as you want!

Home charging is simple with a BMW charger (included) which plugs in to a house/garage socket. In normal weekly use (commute/school runs etc), an overnight charge 2 to 3 times a week is probably all you'll need without any need to use the generator. The generator is best used for longer journeys where you want to extend your range. For example, driving to London, we'll leave Wimborne on full electric, after joining the motorway we'll press button '8' on the dash to activate the generator, and run this until the outskirts of London, then press '8' again to deactivate the generator, and then cruise in to London on full electric. On the dashboard, there are two range displays, one for the generator and one for electric, so you quickly become an expert in balancing the two ranges, developing your own strategy for your journey! Be warned, it can become quite competitive between household drivers!

Onboard is a colour screen with professional navigation, Digital DAB Radio, Bluetooth phone, switchable driving modes and over carpets.
